JOB DESCRIPTION: Identify prospective clients for power and distribution transformers in India by comprehensively understanding and anticipating their requirements, effectively presenting capabilities, and successfully finalizing agreements. Early detection and qualification of sales leads are essential for developing a robust sales funnel. Conduct thorough research and analysis on Market Size, Market Share, Market Segments, Economic and Regulatory Drivers, Applications and Technologies, Products/Systems/Services, Market Channels, Industry Trends, Competitors, and perform SWOT Analysis, among other factors. Leverage market intelligence to align current and future strengths and capabilities with the strategic objectives of the Transformers business line. Recognize market and customer needs and preferences to influence product development roadmaps. Formulate regional business and marketing strategies. Guide the sales team in creating targeted account lists, developing account profiles, and formulating strategic sales plans. Serve as the organization's representative to customers, acting as the primary contact for sales, customer service, and delivery matters. Capitalize on customer relationships to explore cross-selling and upselling opportunities, as well as to obtain referrals within the market. Utilize market insights to strengthen the network within the customer base. Train and develop existing team members by establishing relevant KPIs and targets to achieve organizational objectives. Recruit and train new team members with a focus on mid- and long-term growth potential. Qualifications: The incumbent should be an Engineer (preferably an MBA but not mandatory) with 18+ years of experience in leading sales and business development for Transformers at both regional and national levels for esteemed brands in government and private infrastructure sectors. Demonstrates the ability to identify potential clients and engage in value-driven discussions that lead to successful deals. Exhibits proficiency in building relationships within the relevant prospect and customer base to advocate for business interests. Skilled in developing connections with pertinent channel partners, EPCs, and market influencers. Possesses a strong understanding of detailed technical specifications of the product portfolio to effectively position offerings before clients.
